Eling Beavers joined over 3500 Beavers, Parents and Leaders for a day of fun and adventure at Paulton's Park.
From 8am the Colonies started to arrive at the New Forest Adventure Park, creating a colourful show with their bright blue sweats and Group neckers.
A special guest was on hand to greet the youngsters as they arrived; the County's latest recruit, "Big Beaver", who high-fived the excited Colonies.
All day long the youngsters enjoyed the rides, blessed by dry weather. Another special guest, Santa Claus, spoke with each Beaver and gave them a Christmas present.
Big Beaver joined them on the rides, screaming as loudly as anyone. Adam, the County Commissioner, was so pleased with Big Beaver, that he presented him with his Wood Beads.

The day was enjoyed by 18 Beavers who followed the play trail and completed a couple of 'adventurous' activities en route to earn their Adventure Badge.

Everybody had a really good time in almost perfect weather, overcast and quite warm. We did have a couple of spots of rain when we stopped for lunch which saw the less brave don their waterproofs.

All those that attended should be congratulated on their behaviour throughout the day, their competitive edge was also apparent on a couple of occassions. They were all a credit to the Colony and the Group.
